Movie fans are to have a new temporary cinema.
The venue will be Loreburn Hall and the pop-up screens are to open in April with Sing 2 and Encanto.
The 11-month trial run will see weekly screenings of family films, new releases and streamed National Theatre performances.
Films will include The Nan Movie, Sonic 2, Phantom of the Open and Ambulance, which will all run later in April.
The Dumfries venue will host an 80-seat sofa cinema experience where audiences can relax in a stylish setting while enjoying a beer or other drinks.
It will be run in collaboration with support company INDY cinema.
Allison McLellan, head of operations at Big Burns Supper, said: “We are excited to be bringing the Loreburn Hall back to public use and our new pop-up cinema project will help give our community access to even more culture on top of rescheduled festival events that now take place throughout the year.
“Our volunteers have worked for six months getting the hall ready and we cannot wait to show Dumfries what we have been working on. This has been a passion project by our community, for our community.”
The cinema at Loreburn Hall, Newall Terrace, opens on Monday, April 11 with screenings of Encanto and Sing 2.
Films in April also include: The Nan Movie, April 13 and 14; Sonic 2, April 15, 16 and 17; Phantom of the Open, April 15, 16 and 17; and Ambulance, April 22, 23 and 24.
National Theatre Scotland: Henry V, will be on April 21
Screenings will resume in May after a short break as Big Burns Supper’s rescheduled shows run from April 29 to May 1 with their Tribute Sessions, including Status Quo Experience, Bob Marley Experience, The Complete Stone Roses, Mercury and Abba Revival.
