A Dumfries charity has launched a fundraising drive to furnish a new facility for older people in the town centre.
The Food Train hopes to raise £15,000 to transform the former council offices in English Street into a purpose-created community hub where people over 65 can meet, eat and chat.
With the building on track for a summer opening, the charity is mounting a push to raise the £15,000 needed to fit-out its home-from-home lounge area.
