Dumbarton United's 2009s team crowned League Champions after outstanding year

Dumbarton DU Conor McMenamin Hampden

Dumbarton United 2009s were crowned Glasgow and District Division Two champions earlier this month.

The season started on a sunny day back in August, with a breathless 8-8 draw against a strong Finnart AFC.

This result against one of the strongest sides in the division saw the side go on a 19 game unbeaten run - beating some of the best teams in the league along the way, which lasted all the way until April.
