I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support and understanding received during my recovery from surgery. The past few months have been challenging for my family, but I have been fortunate to have a dedicated medical team caring for me.
In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London with the initial belief that my condition was non-cancerous. However, post-surgery tests revealed the presence of cancer, leading to the recommendation of preventative chemotherapy, which I have now commenced.
This unexpected turn of events has been a shock, and my husband and I have been focusing on managing this situation privately for the well-being of our children. It has taken time for me to recuperate from surgery and prepare for treatment, as well as to explain the situation to our children in a manner suitable for their understanding.
I am grateful for the love and support received from my husband, family, and the community during this challenging time. While I eagerly anticipate returning to my work, my current priority is on my recovery.
My thoughts are also with all those affected by cancer, and I urge anyone facing this disease to maintain hope and resilience. You are not alone in this journey.
Thank you for your understanding as my family and I seek privacy and space to focus on my treatment and healing process.
