Dublin woman charged with murder of pensioner mum

A woman charged with murdering her elderly mother Mary Bergin in Dublin has been remanded in custody with a request for “urgent" psychiatric attention.

Her daughter Moire Bergin, 45, appeared in court today.

Mary Bergin, who was in her 70s, was very involved in her community and was also a church eucharistic minister.
