It truly is winter in Ireland, with Dublin being hammered with heavy rainfall and a risk of flooding in parts.
The weather has been pretty grim over the last few weeks and it seems that there will be no improvement anytime soon. A weather advisory for all of Ireland is in place from Met Eireann for localised flooding due to rainfall.
In Dublin we have a very up and down few days ahead of us with plenty of rain, sunshine, winds and varying temperatures. So if you're heading out and about, it's best to be prepared for anything.

Here's what we can expect for the rest of the week according to Met Eireann:
Monday night
There will be some scattered showers and fresh winds, with temperatures between six and nine degrees. Some of the heavy winds from today could carry into the nighttime.
Tuesday
Thunder could be on the way to the capital with rainfall expected at points during the day though only in scattered showers. Wind in Dublin will be gusty and temperatures will only reach about 12 degrees at their highest.
Wednesday
In a move away from the usual this week Wednesday is going to be quite a sunny and calm day in Ireland, particularly in the east. Temperatures will max out at about 13C and we'll have some wind. That will change come the evening time as rain makes its way across the country.
Thursday
There will be plenty of rain and drizzle outbreaks in Ireland on Thursday in what will be a mild but humid day as temperatures reach 16C. Come nighttime there is local flooding possible as the rain increases.
Friday
Conditions are set to remain mostly mild and cloudy with some rain although that will be at its worst in the west of the country. There will be gusty winds while temperatures will reach about 16C.
Weekend
All signs at the moment are pointing to a weekend that is mild but unsettled with plenty of rain building throughout Saturday and into Sunday. Temperatures will once again reach around 16C.
