Met Eireann forecasters have pinpointed the days next week when the good weather is set to return for Dublin, with temperatures set to soar into the mid twenties by the middle of next week.
This weekend, it will be largely sunny with scattered showers on the way for many parts of the country. It comes after a mixed end to June and early July, but the weather is set to pick up next week.
A forecaster from Met Eireann said: "There will be a mix of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers today. A few heavy showers are possible in the afternoon."

They added: "Highest temperatures will range from 16 to 19 degrees in a moderate southwest breeze, fresh or strong at times along Atlantic coasts."
Saturday night
Clear spells and well- scattered showers overnight. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate west winds.
Sunday
It will be predominantly cloudy on Sunday but with lots of dry weather. Some sunny spells will occur at times along with just well-scattered showers. Maximum temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees in a moderate west breeze.
Monday
Predominantly dry on Monday but with mostly cloudy skies. There will be a few showers drifting eastwards across the country in a moderate westerly breeze.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, warmest in the southeast of the country. Patchy rain and drizzle in the west and northwest on Monday night. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry with just isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate westerly breezes.
However, the weather will improve over the coming days as temperatures rise back into the twenties by the middle of next week.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Rather cloudy early next week with patchy rain or showers at times, especially in the west and north. Some sunshine further east and south. Becoming warmer and sunnier by the end of the week."
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all look set to see 20C temperatures before it picks up even more as the weekend approaches. The forecaster added: "High pressure building later in the week bringing more sunshine and warmer temperatures."
