Temperatures are set to reach a warm 18 degrees over the coming days but much of the country can still expect outbreaks of rain, Met Eireann has warned.
Today will start mostly cloudy today with patchy light rain or drizzle and lingering mist patches. While some sunny spells will gradually break through, scattered showers will occur too.
It will feel much milder than recent days with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, in no more than moderate southerly breezes.
Dublin will be mostly cloudy tomorrow with scattered showers moving up from the south. However, some mild sunny spells developing through later in the day. Highest temperatures will reach 13 to 16 degrees.
While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is Met Eireann's national outlook for the coming days:
Tuesday
"Possible mist and fog in parts to begin. Dry with sunnier skies setting in with mostly moderate easterly breezes - just a few light showers further west. Temperatures will range a mild 15 to 18 degrees across Atlantic counties and the midlands, somewhat cooler elsewhere though with onshore winds.
Wednesday
"A cooler day nationwide with increasing cloud feeding in a scattering of showers, possibly heavy along the east coast - coolest here too. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees, again with mostly moderate easterly breezes.
Thursday and Friday
"Mainly dry with sunny spells and moderate to fresh east to southeast winds. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, mildest in the west."
