It's a chilly bank holiday Monday in Dublin and it's going to stay that way for a few more days according to Met Eireann.
The forecaster is expecting temperatures to plunge below zero for most mornings during the week with frost in places. However things are looking up for the weekend with a big jump in temperatures on Friday.
Today will be a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with highs of up to 11C. But it will be cold tonight with a touch of frost as the mercury drops to between 1 and 4C.

Tomorrow is looking much the same for Dublin although there will also be some patchy drizzle and mist during the day. The forecaster has advised it will then become cold with frosty nights and early mornings expected for the rest of the week although temperatures will pick up by the weekend, which will be mostly frost free.
Here's the national outlook for the week ahead according to Met Eireann:
Wednesday
"Largely dry for daylight hours, apart from patchy drizzle across the west and northwest. The best of any sunny spells will occur towards the south and east. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees. South to southwest winds will gradually freshen, as a band of rain moves down from the northwest after dark. Some frost and ice is likely later under clearing skies. Lowest temperatures of -2 to + 2 degrees, in moderating westerly breezes."
Thursday
"A cold and frosty or icy start but with good sunshine too. Most areas will stay dry with just light westerly breezes, though a few passing showers will occur across northern counties. Cool but pleasant with highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees. Some frost early in the night, ahead of increasing cloud and patchy drizzle, mainly across the west. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees."
Friday
"Rather dull and breezy with low cloud and patchy drizzle in the west and northwest. Some sunny spells likely too though across the midlands and east. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds."
