Met Eireann has predicted that icy temperatures will grip Leinster later tonight.
Conditions will be relatively dull during the daytime, with a chance of isolated showers. Afternoon temperatures will hover around 6 to 7 degrees.
However, evening temperatures will plummet below zero as colder weather sets in. A slight freeze could occur in some areas, with frost patches particularly likely in places with light northwest breezes.

Night-time temperatures will hit lows of between -1 to -3 degrees in some local areas. The frosty weather is predicted to dominate next week's forecast, with icy conditions likely across the country.
The national forecast for the next few days is listed below.
Sunday night
Clear spells at first with some mist or fog forming. There will be scattered showers, mainly just in Connacht and Ulster. Becoming mostly cloudy by morning. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with a slight frost in parts. Mostly light northwest winds.
Monday
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain moving southwards across the country in moderate northwest or northerly winds. Driest with some bright weather in the very south. Highest temperatures of 5 or 6 degrees in the north, 7 to 9 degrees further to the south, but it will turn colder later in the day.
Monday night
Rain and cloud early in the night will clear southwards overnight. Turning very cold with temperatures falling to between 0 and -3 degrees leading to widespread frost and possibly some icy stretches. Wintry showers will later move into north facing coasts in a light to moderate northerly airflow.
Tuesday
Cold with plenty of sunshine. Scattered showers of sleet or snow, mainly in the north or northwest with lots of dry weather elsewhere. Afternoon temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees with light to moderate northerly breezes. Wintry showers will continue near northern coasts overnight, staying dry and mostly clear elsewhere. Another very cold night with a widespread sharp frost in sub-zero temperatures.
