Met Eireann has warned of a slight risk of lightning later today despite a relatively warm forecast.
Today will be mostly dry but the chance of heavy outbreaks of rain remains later on this afternoon and evening. The forecast suggests that lightning and hail could break out if heavy rain persists.
Highest temperatures range from 16 to 18 degrees. There will be a combination of sunny and cloudy spells today, with the chance of coastal fog developing.

The pollen count remains high although it will ebb as the weekend continues. Showery rain is expected Saturday night, with lowest temperatures of between 8 to 11 degrees.

Sunday
Another mostly cloudy start tomorrow heavy rain for a time early in the day. Becoming drier with a few showers possible during the day. However heavy or thundery showers are possible later in the afternoon and in the evening. Chance of hail and isolated lightning. Highest temperatures of 17 or 18 degrees. Light westerly breezes.
Monday
Monday morning will be mostly cloudy with hazy sunny spells in the afternoon and evening. There will be a few passing showers during the day, although not as heavy as previous days. Highs around 15 to 18 degrees for most with a light northwest breeze, cooler and a little breezier in the north.
Tuesday
A mix of cloud and hazy sunshine. Dry in most areas with the chance of the odd shower, especially near western coasts later. Very mild with highs of 16 to 19 degrees, cooler towards the coast. Mostly light southwest winds, moderate along Atlantic coasts.
