Dublin takeaways: The best restaurants to order from this weekend

Dublin takeaways do a fine job of feeding us and introducing us to exciting flavours and dishes.

From super spicy fare to traditional bites to everything in between, there are takeaways all over the city that are worth noting for their food.

Here are 51 of the very best takeaways in Dublin for you to try.

Saba To Go

Saba To Go has won a slew of awards and once you try the food, you will know exactly why.

The Thai and Vietnamese takeaway in Rathmines, Windy Arbour, Deansgrange, Baggot Street and South William Street serves up dishes including a variety of curries and noodles.

San Sab

With restaurants in Clontarf and Drumcondra, San Sab serves up incredible authentic Thai food as well as things like their Spice Bag, which is arguable the best spice bag in the city.

Diwali

Diwali is a stunning Indian dine-in restaurant as well as a Dublin takeaway on George's Street.

The restaurant's takeaway menu consists of all of the favourites plus opportunities to try authentic Indian dishes you might have never even heard of before.

Lin Kee

Lin Kee has a number of Dublin takeaways in Artane, North Strand, Santry, Cabra, Glasnevin and Swords.

It is perhaps one of the most popular Chinese takeaways in Dublin serving the classics such as 3-in-1s, chicken balls and spice bags.

Kathmandu KItchen

Kathmandu Kithcen, like the name would suggest, serves up Nepalese as well as Indian cuisine. The restaurants are located in the city centre and Malahide, and it's available to order here.

Umi Falafel

While we're on the subject of falafel from Dublin takeaways, Umi Falafel, with restaurants in the city centre, Rathmines and Ballsbridge, is available to order on Deliveroo. Pro tip: get the Palestinian Falafel wrap.

Mint Cottage

Mint Cottage in Raheny, which is also a popular spot for ambient indoor dining, has stellar reviews online with people praising the range of curries on the menu.

Kerala Kitchen

One of the most popular Indian takeaways in Dublin (and for good reason), Kerala Kitchen has restaurants on Baggot Street and in Stoneybatter.

Inspired by the light coastal flavours of Kerala in South India, the menu consists of aromatic curries, biriyanis, baked-to-order naans and grills straight from the tandoor.

Ruby's Pizza and Grill

Ruby's Pizza and Grill in Swords took home the Best of Ireland award at this year's Just Eat National Takeaway Awards.

Bombay Pantry in Glenageary is another award winning takeaway, known for serving delectable Indian cuisine in the form of curries and other unreal dishes.

Firehouse

Firehouse Pizza is located in Ballymun, Booterstown and Park West and serves up some seriously delicious pizza, with notable menu items you should try including the Pesto Chicken Pizza, the Philly Cheese Steak and the Towering Inferno.

Lemon Tree

Lemon Tree in Edenmore is perhaps the most popular Chinese takeaway in the area, known for doing the classics such as chicken curry and spice bags very, very well. It is available to order on Just Eat.

Mr Burrito

Mr Burrito has been delighting the people of Drumcondra and beyond since it opened in 2017.

Serving burritos, fajitas, nachos and other delicious Mexican grub, you're belly will be full and your wallet won't have too big of a dent in it with everything reasonably priced.

Zaytoon

While Zaytoon is a standard visit after any night out in the city centre, it is also a pretty delicious takeaway to enjoy at home, whether you're having drinks or not.

McGuinness Traditional Takeaway

This small family owned traditional takeaway serves the classics like burgers and pizzas as well as plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, and is available to order here.

Leo Burdock

Leo Burdock has shops in Rathmines, Temple Bar, Christchurch, Howth, Cookstown, East Wall and multiple other locations around Dublin, and is available to order via their website and through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.

Located on Camden Street, Neon Asian Street Food serves up quite a large range of small bites as well as more substantial meals, and is available to order through the restaurant's website.

Tadka House

Tadka House is an Indian restaurant in Rathmines and Greenhills with a focus on low-calorie meals and traditional Indian herbs and spices.

Vincenzos

Some of the most delicious pizza in town is what you'll get from Vincenzo's, as well as posh fries, wings, goujons and meatballs. It is located in Marino, Baldoyle and Finglas.

Dosa Dosa

Authentic South Indian delight dosa is what you'll get from this spot on Grand Canal Street.

Krewe is the definition of comfort food, serving things like mozzarella sticks, filthy burgers and all kinds of American style goodness. It is available to order on Deliveroo.

All Bar Chicken

All Bar Chicken on Capel Street serves what is some of the best chicken dishes in all of Dublin, including juicy chicken burgers, dumplings, wraps and loaded fries. It is available on Just Eat.

Sunflower

Templeogue is home to Sunflower, a Chinese takeaway that is known for serving one of the best spice bags in Dublin as well as various curry dishes.

Bullet Duck and Dumplings

Absolutely gorgeous Asian bites is what you can expect from Bullet Duck and Dumplings, which serves up exactly what the name promises.

Located at Charlotte Way, Millenium Walkway and Dundrum, Mad Egg is known for its Insta-worthy burgers and other dishes like their Hot Chick, Wild Thing, Honey Baby and The Goat. It is available to order via Mad Egg's website.

If you're in the market for a bit of Asian cuisine this weekend, then Musashi should be on your radar if it's in your area.

There are restaurants in the IFSC, Sandymount and Blanchardstown serving up wings, Gyoza, sporing rolls, Katsu and ribs. You can order Musashi through their website.

Bunsen

Bunsen provides Dublin with what is likely one of the city's favourite burgers and its available to order to your home via Deliveroo.

Chimac

Chimac on Aungier Street brings a taste of Seoul to Dublin. Chimac comes from 'chi', short for chikin (Korean fried chicken) and 'mac' from 'maekju' (Korean for beer).

DiFontaine's in Temple Bar may well be some of the most popular pizza around, with massive slices keeping Dubs full and fuelled for years now.

Available to order online, they have huge 20" pizzas available that will feed the family or your group of mates, with plenty of tasty toppings available.

Little Dumpling

If you haven't discovered Little Dumpling yet, it needs to be on your Dublin foodie bucket list.

The fine people of Clondalkin are in for a treat when it comes to their spice bag needs as the area is home to Seven Spice Chinese, which serves up a variety of spice bags that will more than satisfy your cravings.

Yummy Oriental

If it's Thai food you're in the mood for this weekend, Red Torch Ginger, which is located on St Andrew Street, offers some deliciously colourful dishes.

Although it's located in Bray, Box Burger delivers to various neighbourhoods in Dublin.
