St Vincent's University Hospital on the southside is Dublin's most overcrowded hospital as a record number of patients were left waiting on trolleys yesterday.
It comes as Health Minister Stephen Donnelly warned the bleak situation is "likely to get worse" as the system is "likely to see more pressure". He described the overcrowding as a "perfect storm" of flu, RSV, Covid as well as normal demand for services.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation said there were 931 admitted patients waiting for hospital beds - 171 higher than the previous record set in December. The total number across the country dropped to 838 this morning.
