Dublin pubs: Actor stunned by 'abomination' pint of Guinness served to him at northside bar

Dublin actor Steven Mangan, who audiences will know from his time on Red Rock, was shocked to be served an "abomination" pint of Guinness at a North Dublin pub.

Steven is also part of Michael Buble tribute band The Michael Buble experience, took a photograph of the pint which was served in a Bulmers glass.

Clearly horrified by what he had been served, he said: "That's just wrong.

"When I returned it the manager dumped it down the sink and swapped this abomination for a real one.

"[It] didn't look much better to be honest."

Steven told Dublin Live: "It was a pint of Guinness served to me in a Bulmers Glass.

"I brought it back to the bar. The manager threw it down the sink. I said that it was an abomination.

"He gave me another one which wasn't great either," he added.

Steven explained that he used to be a publican himself, so he knows "very well that you don't serve Guinness in anything that's not a Guinness glass, especially not a Bulmers glass".

Revealing where in Dublin Steven thinks does the best pint of Guinness, he told us that is to be found in the Ardlea Inn in Artane.

"It's 100% the best pint of Guinness," he said.
