One lucky Dubliner has woken up a millionaire after a big win in the Lotto last night.
An online player won the top prize of €1 million in Wednesday's Lotto Plus 1 draw. So far this year, five players have become millionaires through the National Lottery.
Another player won €250,000 last night from a ticket purchased in the Supervalu in Ranelagh. A spokeswoman for the Lotto said: "An online Lotto player from Co Dublin has become an overnight millionaire after they won the top prize of €1 million in Wednesday night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

"Wednesday night’s big winner has officially become the 5th millionaire to be made through National Lottery games in 2023." The winning numbers in Wednesday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 4, 6, 14, 28, 37, 46 and the bonus number was 17.
Also winning big last night was a player from Ranelagh who scooped the Lotto Plus 2 top prize worth an incredible €250,000. The winning quick pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw in the SuperValu in Ranelagh.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner of the €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 prize has made contact, and arrangements are being made for them to collect their prize.
While there was no winner of last night’s Lotto Jackpot worth €2,759,603, over 63,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. This means Saturday’s jackpot rolls to an estimated €3 Million.
