Penneys is hiring for a specific role to join its team in Dublin.
The retail giant is recruiting a Packaging Lead as part of its plans to build a new "Packaging Centre of Expertise that will sit in Central Functions", the job description states. Penneys is looking for a strategic thinker with deep business and commercial acumen and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
The packaging lead will be responsible for delivering and supporting the "Primark Cares" business sustainability strategy. They will work closely with the Buying and Merchandising Team (B&M) in the development of packaging design, standards, compliance, commercial, and supplier management.

The successful applicant will lead a team of six to eight people directly reporting to them and two to four indirect reports. They will be expected to develop "an inclusive, diverse, and cohesive team environment," the job spec says.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a CoE or transformation senior-level role in a large multinational business, expertise in developing, building, and executing transformative strategies in the packaging space, and the ability to lead, develop and build high-performing teams.
