Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan is currently on the lookout for a Personal Communications Assistant to join his staff on a full-time basis.
The annual salary on offer is €35,000 per year with standard working hours but some out-of-hours work and travel will be required.
The job will be located in both the Department of the Environment and Climate and the Department of Transport on Adelaide Road and Leeson lane, respectively.
What would the daily duties of a communication assistant to the Minister for Environment, Climate and Transport entail?
The main purpose of the role would be to work with the Minister, his special adviser and the wider team, to help develop effective social media and website content and media releases on behalf of the Minister.
The successful candidate would also be responsible for developing internal and external communication strategies to promote the work of the Minister.
The desired requirements for the role include:
- 2-3 years work experience in a relevant communications role
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrative understanding of social media strategies and media relations
- Above average knowledge of various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Experience in digital content creation, copy writing and updating websites
- Design, filming and editing skills and proficiency in relevant software such as Canva, Kapwing, Adobe, or applicant’s preferred content creation tools
- Ability to work in a fast paced, reactive environment
- A strong interest in the environment, climate action and transport with a knowledge of the Dublin Bay South constituency and a Green Party supporter.
