According to the Economic Research Institute, the average salary for a crane operator in Dublin is €57,193 per annum.
This works out at €27 per hour with an average bonus in the region of €1,132.
Looking at the data on the ERI website, salaries are only going to increase over the next few years.
Over the next five years, the ERI believe crane driver salaries will increase 16% up to €66,624 per year.
The ERI estimates that the highest education requirement for a crane driver is a secondary school diploma.
An entry-level crane driver with 1-3 years experience can expect to earn €41,845 per annum according to salaryexpert.com.
For a senior position with over eight years of experience earns an average salary of €70,014 per annum.
However Indeed has slightly different figures relating to hourly and annual salaries.
It estimates the hourly salary for a crane driver to be €19.87 per hour and the annual to be €34,215.
Indeed has listed four of the top companies in Dublin that employ crane drivers.
They are Total Solutions, Ward Personnel, O'Neill and Brennan and MCR Group. The listed annual salaries for those four companies are €34,361, €33,606, €33,408 and €33,061, respectively.
Crane drivers in Cork get paid on average just over €100 more per annum than their Dublin counterparts, according to Indeed.
