Emirates Airline are offering Irish candidates a tax free salary worth €35,500 per year ahead of their recruitment day in Dublin.
The Dubai based airline is seeking to hire cabin crew as it continues to expand its operations post pandemic. The airline offers several enticing perks to prospective employees, such as free travel to and from work, discounts on shopping within Dubai and its tax free salary.
Enda Corneille, Ireland’s country head of Emirates, spoke to Newstalk about the employment offers within the airline. He told host Pat Kenny that the airline already has 500 cabin crew employees from Ireland, adding that his younger self would have seized the opportunity to work as cabin crew.

Enda told Newstalk listeners: “If I was 22, I’d apply for it myself. We have people coming to work with us who have never flown before as well as those who have worked with different carriers. We’re looking for people with the right frame of mind and positivity.”
However, there are several requirements for those hoping to take up work as cabin crew. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and measure no less than 5 foot 2 in height. The height restriction is in place as employees must be able to easily reach overhead bins on board a flight.
Enda also spoke candidly about the perception that Emirates hires attractive people. He admitted that grooming is an important part of the airline’s branding but that they were ultimately looking for hires with the right personality and intelligence for the job.
There is no limit on available positions as the airline routinely hosts these recruitment days on an annual basis in Ireland. The recruitment drive will commence this Thursday at 9am.
Further information on the recruitment drive is available here.
