House prices have fallen for the first time in three years, according to the latest Daft.ie report.
The national asking average price now stands at €309,648. The figure is slightly lower than prices recorded during the same quarter in 2022.
Overall, asking prices in Dublin dropped by 0.6 per cent over the past 12 months. While asking prices have shot up by 2.4 per cent since the end of this March, they remain lower than property prices recorded over the same period last year.
The report also revealed Dublin was the second most expensive city in Europe to build property in. South County Dublin ranked as the most expensive jurisdiction, with an average asking price of €637,318.

Meanwhile, the number of homes available to buy on the property platform stands at 13,000. This represents an increase of 5 per cent on advertised properties in 2022.
