A Dublin home is officially ready for Christmas after switching on their fabulous festive lights exhibit yesterday.
David Doyle, from Donnybrook, has been putting on his Christmas lights display for the past 30 years to fundraise for charity. This year, he has lit his home with an incredible 16,000 lights in a bid to raise money for CHI Crumlin.
Every year, David attracts droves of people to his home to admire the lights and leave donations for charity. He usually turns on the lights at the beginning of December, but has now opted to start a month earlier in order to raise as much money as possible for the Children's Hospital.

David told Dublin Live: "I have 16,000 lights on the house. Last year was 13,500. This is the limit!
"Years ago it used to take about a month to set it all up, but it's gotten faster and faster. I handmade the 'Merry Christmas Everyone' sign and the bow myself.
"There was a small little crowd here yesterday to turn on the lights. We got to small kids to count down from five and press the button.
"At night people will be walking past taking pictures. Even some gardai have stopped to take selfies."
With the price of energy rising this year, David is on the lookout for a sponsor to help cover electricity costs in exchange for advertising. He said: "They're all LED lights. Sponsorship would help pay towards the electricity.
"I'm not saying it's going to be cheap but I'm hoping because they're all LED lights it won't be too bad. At the end of the day it's all for charity."
David is encouraging anyone in a festive mood to come by and help him support CHI Crumlin.
"People can pop by, take their photo and look at the lights and put their donation in through the letterbox. They can also go up to McCloskey's pub up the road, it's open from 3pm and they can leave their donation there."
You can also donate via David's Just Giving fundraiser page. If you'd like to get in touch with David about sponsorship, you can contact him here. You can find David's stunning home at St Broc's Cottages in Donnybrook.
