Naomh Fionbarra has launched an internal investigation after an umpire was allegedly assaulted at a Minor Hurling League game against Clanna Gael Fontenoy at Sean Moore Park yesterday.
The match was stopped by the referee early in the second half after the alleged assault and the umpire was treated for injuries by medics. In a statement to Dublin Live, Naomh Fionnbarra said the club is "aware of media coverage" surrounding the match.
They said: "We await the referees report from the game and a possible investigation from the Dublin County Board. We dispute some of the one sided media reports and have launched an internal investigation.
