Dublin Fire Brigade are saying goodbye to one of their team's legends today.
'Gadget' is retiring after decades of service to the people of Dublin and is known for being a "bloody good fireman".
Jim O'Toole worked with DFB for 27 years and has 38 years under his belt with the council.
The brave fireman spent most of his time with Phibsborough’s ‘A' Watch and will be missed from the team.
His colleagues and friends wished him well on his future endeavours.
They tweeted: "Yesterday we said goodbye to FF/P Jim O’Toole after 27 years service to DFB, and a total of 38 years to @DubCityCouncil
"Serving most of his time on Phibsborough’s ‘A' Watch, Jim was one of the first from DFB to complete the @UL Paramedic degree course.
" You will be missed Gadget."
People took to social media to thank Jim for his decades of service.
One person said: "All the very best Jim I hope you have a retirement as long as your stories
Another wrote: "Best of luck Jim, a gentleman and a bloody good fireman. Long and happy retirement pal."
A third said: "All the best for your retirement Gadget, it seems its the weekend that DFB legends retire."
