Gardaí could find no reason why an experienced cyclist suddenly veered across the road into the path of an oncoming jeep near Dublin Airport while out with a triathlon club, an inquest has heard.
David Steele, 45, from Swords, North Co Dublin, was killed in the collision in September 2020.
The inquest discounted weather or road conditions as being factors in his death with the coroner saying the incident was “absolutely out of the blue”.
