Dublin City Council will hold a commemorative event for those lost during the Covid-19 pandemic this weekend.
The event will take place this Sunday, March 20, to pay tribute to the efforts of the Irish people and frontline workers during the pandemic, as well as those who lost their lives to the virus.
The event is part of a National Day of Remembrance and takes place at Merrion Square Park at 1pm.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland will open the intimate event with a speech which will be followed by performances from a variety of artists, including poets Paula Meehan and Theo Dorgan.

Paula will read The Light Returning, a poem written out of the darkness of the Covid years as a gesture of hope and resilience.
She said of the poem: "It celebrates the comfort of the natural world and offers gratitude for surviving to welcome back the light of spring."
Meanwhile Theo will read his Irish translation of the poem, An Solas ag Filleadh.
There will also be performances from Uilleann piper Fiadh Fitzpatrick and the Continuum Youth Choir, with participation from Dublin Civil Defence and Dublin Fire Brigade.
Lord Mayor Allison Gililand said of the upcoming commemoration event: "After a challenging two years and countless hardships faced, this event is an opportunity for the people of Dublin to come together and remember those we lost and to recognise those who guided us through the pandemic.
"All are welcome to attend and share in this collective moment of remembrance and reflection."
Meanwhile Civil Defence Officer James McConnell said: "Over the past two years, our team has provided over 54,000 voluntary hours towards the City's efforts to combat the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We are delighted that the hard work of our dedicated volunteers will be recognised at this important event."
The event will be free to attend and all are welcome. It will take place close to the South East Entrance of Merrion Square Park and is expected to run for around 40 minutes.
