Dublin Bus hiring bus drivers and more in 'biggest recruitment drive in history'

Dublin Bus is hiring for a bunch of roles as part of its "biggest recruitment drive in history".

The public transport service has announced a number of positions with some fantastic benefits. Billy Hann, CEO of Dublin Bus said: "We’re currently running the biggest recruitment drive in the history of the organisation.

"Our Recruitment Roadshow is running until December 17. You'll find us at Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre, Square Shopping Centre, and Ashleaf Shopping Centre."

Bus Drivers

Dublin Bus is recruiting bus drivers for wages of €791.55 per week increasing to €916.50 (six-year pay scale, 5-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium). The salary will increase to €815.30 from January 1, 2023, on a six-year pay scale rising to €943.99.

Sales Promoter - DoDublin Tours

Dublin Bus is looking for "sales orientated, enthusiastic, outgoing" people for this role that will involve working outdoors as part of the promotional and sales team for the sightseeing tours. Successful candidates will receive €12.28 an hour and will be expected to work shifts that can vary between 4 to 6 hours in length, between the hours of 9am–5pm, Monday to Sunday.

Mechanics

The public transport service is offering €727.90 per week (rising to €865.49 based on the pay scale) for the role of qualified heavy vehicle mechanic. Benefits include medical GP scheme, pension scheme, travel subsidies, and more.

Engineering Operative

Dublin Bus is paying the wage of €526.19 per week (rising to €589.64 based on the pay scale) for the role of an engineering operative. The ideal applicant will have a valid, clean category B Irish driving licence (held for a minimum of two years) or a category D licence.
