Aer Lingus has launched it Apprenticeship Programme for this year, and they're looking for those interested in joining their maintenance and engineering teams.
The programme takes four years to complete, and it's being run by the airline's maintenance and engineering department in conjunction with SOLAS -Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland.
Training for the programme will take place initially in Dublin Airport followed by some time spent in Shannon Airport in year one before returning to Dublin to complete the programme.

The programme is now currently welcoming applications for September 2023, and it is described as being a "combination of classroom learning and practical experience."
Here's everything you need to know about the apprenticeship:
Essential criteria:
- Candidates must be 18 years of age by the 1st September 2023
- Completed the Leaving Certificate Examinations in or before 2023 OR
- Have attained or be in the process of attaining other recognised educational equivalent OR
- Successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course OR
- Three years’ work experience gained over sixteen years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity as SOLAS shall deem acceptable
- Candidates must be willing to attend training in Dublin and Shannon or other designated training centre and relocate as necessary for this training
- Candidates must be fluent in English both written and spoken
According to Aer Lingus, successful applicants will need to demonstrate strong technical and mechanical skills, enthusiasm, determination, and a willingness to commit to the programme's four-year duration.
