People are on the hunt for affordable air fares as plans commence for trips abroad.
Many people are keen to go on holiday now that winter has ended and soak up the sunshine in warmer climates. Spain remains as popular a destination as ever, with decent deals available on flights to Ibiza for the remainder of this month.
However, Albania is unexpectedly becoming a popular destination amongst Irish tourists for last minute getaways. The Balkan nation is sometimes described as the hidden gem of the Mediterranean, with temperatures there currently hovering around the 16-19 degree mark.

We checked out SkyScanner to find out what deals were on offer departing from Dublin Airport to Albania. No airlines currently offer direct flights between Dublin and the nation's capital Tirana, meaning passengers should factor in a slightly longer journey while travelling.

Wednesday 19 April-Wednesday 26 April, €184
People who are looking for a last minute getaway can avail of this deal through Ryanair and Wizz Air Malta. Outbound flight departs Dublin Airport at 9:30am and the return flight leaves from Tirana International Airport at 11:15 am on the return date.
Wednesday 26 April- May 3, €173
Airfares to Albania are reportedly slightly cheaper during May. This flight, partly operated by Eurowings Discover, is departing Dublin at 5:45 pm on the 26 April and will fly back from Tirana at 11:50am on May 3.
Wednesday 3 May-Wednesday 10 May, €162
This Lufthansa flight is operating partly through Eurowings Discover. It will depart from Dublin at 5:45pm and then leave Tirana the following week at the early time of 6:20 am. The flight stops over in Munich International Airport.
