The Dublin Airport Authority has given assurance that security delays and flight cancellations that have plagued the travel hub will not hamper Christmas plans.
The daa's MD Vincent Harrison moved to respond to questioning from Sinn Fein's spokesperson on Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Louise O’Reilly yesterday. The Dublin Fingal TD is urging the Minister for Transport to oversee Christmas contingency plans over the holiday period this week.
She said that the public's confidence in Dublin Airport has taken a "hammering" due to the issues during the Summer period with security and then with cancellations due to the weather last week. Around one million people are expected to travel through Dublin Airport in the coming days.
