DAA CEO Dalton Philips has admitted that passengers "potentially" may be queueing outside Terminal buildings in the rain over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Today, the Airport unveiled their new plan to improve queueing times over the weeks, which includes a new system where access to Terminals will be triaged.
This means that if there are large queues, passengers may have to wait in holding areas in the short term car parks.

The daa told the Oireachtas Transport Committee they will be placing a “bad weather cover, seating and toilets in the holding area”.
Committee Chair Kieran O'Donnell, asked Mr Philips if passengers will have to wait outside in the rain over the coming days as patches of rain are forecast.
Mr Philips replied: “Potentially.
“As I said we want to get covered areas so that doesn't happen.”
Mr Philips said "there will be periods where queueing could be an hour".
"At certain peak points there may be queuing outside," he said.
Mr Philips also confirmed to the Transport Committee that security staff from Cork will be in the airport.
The Cork staff will make up part of 40 extra officers that the airport said they will have over the Bank Holiday to prevent a repeat of last weekend's chaos.
Mr Philips said that between three and six Cork Airport security officers will be working in Dublin over the coming days.
"Having those officers up, even though it's between three and six depending on the day, makes a real difference," he said.
The rest of the extra security officers will come from new recruits who have just been certified and other staff who are certified to work security will be redeployed from other areas of the airport.
Passengers have been advised to arrive at the airport at least two and a half hours before a short-haul flight and three and a half hours before a long haul flight.
daa has also advised any passenger checking in a bag to add at least an extra hour to this time.
