Dubai has unveiled its largest-ever transport project, with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announcing a Dh34 billion ($9 billion) Metro Gold Line on April 22, 2026. The ambitious project is designed to reshape how millions move across the city, reinforcing Dubai’s long-term vision of becoming one of the world’s most connected urban hubs.
Described as a “fully integrated underground metro line,” the Gold Line marks a major leap in infrastructure planning, linking historic districts with rapidly expanding new communities.
