Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced a new agreement to reduce daily transport costs for select residents, introducing 50 per cent discounts on taxi fares alongside exemptions from public parking fees.
The initiative, revealed in early April 2026, rolled out in coordination with Dubai's social development authorities as part of ongoing efforts to enhance mobility access and reduce financial strain on vulnerable groups. Officials said the move reflects the emirate’s long-term commitment to building an inclusive and accessible transport system.
