The Jets announced Wednesday that left tackle Duane Brown and defensive lineman Vinny Curry have returned to practice, opening their 21-day windows, respectively, to be activated to the roster after becoming eligible to return from injured reserve this week.
Head coach Robert Saleh said they will get more information on both players Wednesday and Thursday. Specifically, on Brown and the possibility of him playing Sunday, Saleh said, “We’ll see. You know me, I’m going to say optimistically, but I’m going to go with the doctor approach on this one and say day-to-day. We’ll see.”
With both players now back at practice, the Jets have 21 days to bring them back onto the active roster, or they would miss the rest of the season. In this case, both will certainly be back on the roster at some point, but it doesn’t seem like it will be this week, meaning it could be another week with Alijah Vera-Tucker at left tackle. Saleh is keeping that information close to the vest for now and we likely won’t find out anything until this weekend, perhaps even Sunday.
