Sir Elton John was a special guest at Dua Lipa's Royal Albert Hall concert on Thursday night (17.10.24).
The 77-year-old music legend retired from touring last year following his mammoth 330-date 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour but reaffirmed that he will still perform from time to time by joining the 29-year-old pop star onstage to perform their hit 'Cold Heart' in London this week.
In his recent tome, 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories Of My Life on Tour', Elton said: "I’ve been clear with my fans that while the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is the culmination of my touring career, I still plan to perform live.
"What this will entail I don’t know yet."
The 'Tiny Dancer' hitmaker revealed earlier this year that he planned to do a "a one-off thing" after he retired from touring.
He said at his final show in Stockholm: "I will never be touring again, but I may do something in the future - a one-off thing - but that’s miles away.
"I want to appreciate my family, my sons, my husband, everything. I’ve earned it."
Elton's stage return comes just over a month after he revealed he was left with "limited vision" in one of his eyes after an infection.
He wrote on Instagram: "Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye.
“I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.
“I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.
“I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.”
