The DSPCA is looking for the paw-fect intern looking to gain experience in a fast-paced shelter environment.
The physical role will provide full training, but applicants must be 18 or over, have transport to and from the shelter, and be able to commit to two days a week.
The duration of the placement is three months, with the potential to extend to six months on a voluntary basis.

They are seeking an applicant with:
A passion for animal welfare
The ability to volunteer in a fast paced environment
Capable of working as a team player
Good telephone manner
Good communication skills
Ability to use own innovative
Basic computer skills
Be confident handling dogs of all sizes and behaviours
Possess a strong personal work ethic
Daily duties will include:
Cleaning kennels
Preparing feeds
Administering medication
Providing behavioural enrichment & stimulation
Walking dogs
Socialising dogs in play groups
Observing canine body language
Basic obedience training
