MACAU — Bangkok isn’t short of drinking holes with eight bars making the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list at this evening’s awards, held at Wynn Palace.
Dry Wave Cocktail Studio was awarded the Best Bar in Thailand and was Asia’s No.4, a step in the right direction from last year’s No.5 spot.
Falling two spots to No.6, but taking home the Best Sustainable Bar Award was Bar Us. The Highest New Entry this year was awarded to Lennon’s, which debuted at No.7.
The Highest New Climber award went to Bar Sathorn, which was also placed at No.7, a far cry from last year’s No.48 position. BKK Social Club fell a spot to No.20 this year, while Opium climbed to No.25 from No.43 in 2025.
G.O.D, which debuted at No.26 last year, fell to No.31. Another new entry on the list from Bangkok was Aqua at No. 48.
The extended list of 51-100 saw Vesper fall off the 50 best list to No.56; Messenger Service Bar was at No.69; Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar at No.76; and Firefly at No.78.
The numero uno spot in Asia went to Hope & Sesame Guangzhou and was also crowned the Best Bar in mainland China. Close on its heels was Zest from Seoul, who also took the best bar in South Korea award, and Bar Leone, who took the No.3 spot and best bar in Hong Kong award.
