The North East is set to see drier and brighter weather on Sunday, with similar weather following into the beginning of next week.
Though overnight on Saturday will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, that is expected to clear up early into Sunday, with sunny skies expected throughout the day.
Despite the sun, which rises at 6.34 and sets at 19,46, temperatures will do well to reach double figures, with highs of 10°C predicted.

The Met Office said: "Sunday will be a much drier and brighter day, with cloud breaking up early to give longer sunny spells for much of the day. Maximum temperature 10 °C."
