A man on a drunken rampage assaulted three police officers and his own dad.
In the early hours of November 3 police were called to the Concert Square area after reports of an assault, Liverpool Magistrates Court heard.
Pragash Amarasingam, 27, was found with injuries to his face and hands and witnesses told how he had been aggressive to a number of people on bicycles.

He was aggressive with the police and verbally abusive and lashed out hitting one officer on the leg and was shouting and swearing. He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and had to be repeatedly told about his language.
He had to be restrained in the police vehicle but he continued to lash out and spat at an officer with his spittle ending up on the side of the victim’s face.
Later the same month he was arrested in Lancaster after his car collided with another vehicle. He smelt strongly of alcohol but repeatedly refused to provide a breath sample.
Miss Durkin said that prior to these offences, on the evening of March 27 last year, police were called to his business address because of a domestic incident and worries about his mental health.
She said: “He was very intoxicated and tried to bite one of the officer’s boots and spat at another officer."
The fourth assault occurred days ago, on Saturday, January 29 this year, officers were called to his home at 6am after reports he was very drunk and smashing plates.
While officers were speaking to his dad at the front door Amarasingam appeared and pushed his dad on the shoulder causing him to become unsteady and the defendant was arrested.
Alison Sharples, defending, said the defendant was a different, responsible person when he was sober but changed when in drink. He has expressed genuine remorse and is ashamed of his behaviour, she added.
However District Judge James Clarke told Amarasingam - who has three previous convictions including affray - “You’ve reached the end of the line today.”
He pointed out at the time of the Covid pandemic assaulting by spitting caused an additional risk to emergency workers.
The defendant, of Grange Lane, Gateacre, admitted assaulting three policeman and his own father as well as failing to provide a specimen of breath after being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
He was sentenced to 36 weeks imprisonment and banned from driving for three years and two weeks. He was also ordered to pay a total of £450 compensation to the three officers he assaulted.
