A gatecrashing father-of-three threatened to stab a group of men in Nottingham on a stag do when they told him to "go away". Drunk Liam Fryer was keen to join the group in St James' Street, Nottingham city centre, at 3.10am on September 26, 2021.
When he was told to go away, he became aggressive and threatened to stab them, putting his hands behind his back as if he had a knife. Then he punched one of them in the face, cutting the victim's top lip and causing swelling to his lower lip.
A witness said the defendant was "acting strange" and confirmed the assault, said Monica Jaskolowski, prosecuting at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 14. Fryer, 26, of Beechdale Road, Beechdale, has six convictions for seven offences. He was last before the court in 2016.
