Drumpellier Cricket Club grabbed an eight-wicket win over Thomas McCallum Irvine in their top versus bottom Western District Cricket Union clash at Langloan.
The result leaves Drumpellier third in the league table, after two games following another eight-wicket win over Poloc in their opening league clash last weekend.
On Saturday, hosts Drumpellier put Irvine in to bat, and soon had them 10-1 when Ryan Rodgers was caught by Chris Keltie off the bowling of Jordan Pryde.
It was soon 26-3 when Supeshala Jayathilake bowled Sammy-Joe Avontuur and Leander Lubbe in 15 overs.
Irvine steadied the ship and a partnership of 24 was ended when Josh Conway went for 16, when he was out LBW to Nicola Austin.
He was soon followed back to the pavilion when Dylan Neil was caught at third man by Keltie, off the bowling of William Leslie.
It was soon 57-6 when Mahmood Alam was bowled by Nathan Allison at third man, off the bowling of Jayathilake.
Jordan Pryde had a double wicket over, taking the wickets of Nasibullah Safi and David Owens in the 38th over, with Irvine all-out for 77. Jayathilake took 4-17, and Pryde took 3-21.
In response, Drumpellier cruised to 67-0 in 21 overs, before Keltie was bowled for 23, and he was soon followed to the pavilion by Allison, who was bowled out.
However, a partnership between Gordon Shaw and Jayathilake took them to the line, with the winning run being a wide, for Drumpellier to win by eight wickets.
