Drum and Bass on the Bike DJ returns to Bristol's streets this weekend

Drum and Bass on the Bike is returning to Bristol for the second time following a huge success last year. In May 2021, Dom Whiting rode through the city on a bike whilst DJ-ing drum and bass music, with the aim of bringing positivity to people around him.

The journey was one of the first events that Dom ran and it was such a success that people actually followed him around as he pedalled along. He has now decided to return to Bristol on Sunday, March 20 and make it an annual event.

He has encouraged people to join him and jog along or keep up on rollerskates, skateboards, scooters or bikes. It is expected that hundreds will follow him through the city, although the details of the route are yet to be announced.

The route will begin at 2pm from College Green and pass through various parts of Bristol. Previously he cycled through Millennium Square, past Cabot Circus, Clifton, St Pauls, Stokes Croft and more.

It is the first time ever that Dom has run a repeat event in a city and with hundreds of people now joining him on rides across the country, it is expected to be very popular on Sunday. Footage of his previous ride through Bristol has accumulated more than one million views on his YouTube channel, and his social media following on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter is expanding too.

Dom said: "I’ve chosen to return to Bristol because it was one of the first rides that I did last year where people actually showed up and followed me on my parade through the town. It was truly a special one for me to actually have people alongside me whilst I was DJ’ing on the move on my bike.

"This will now be an annual event in the city and I look forward to building and growing the rides every year. I want these positive parades to be a well-established event that is recognised not just by the people in Bristol but the whole of the world.

"I’ve never known positivity like it in my life and I look forward to returning to Bristol once again this weekend!"
