Three people have been arrested after police seized £7,500 worth of drugs after stopping a car in Tullibody.
Officers from the Clackmannanshire community policing team were on patrol in the town on Friday, January 6, when they stopped a car after observing it “acting in suspicious circumstances”.
A 34-year-old woman and two men, aged 28 and 35, were detained for a drug search. They were allegedly found to be in possession of controlled drugs valued at £7,500, a five-figure sum of cash and a knife, which police seized. All three were arrested for allegedly being concerned in the sale and supply of controlled drugs and will appear at Alloa Sheriff Court at a future date.
Community Policing Inspector Alex Hatrick said: “We’re committed to detecting and disrupting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in communities across Clackmannanshire and continue to work closely with our partners to support those affected by drug misuse.
