Drugs found in 70 per cent of drivers in fatal Canberra car crashes this year

Drugs have been found in 70 per cent of toxicity results from a limited sample of drivers involved in fatal accidents in Canberra this year, the ACT's top police officer has revealed.

There have been 18 fatalities on Canberra roads in 2022 - the highest death toll in more than a decade.

The deaths occurred in 15 accidents.
