The first punch has been thrown between Sonny Bill Williams and Paul Gallen with drug test accusations flying from the former All Black.

Gallen (15-2-1, 8 KOs) was a no-show at Tuesday's promotional launch of their fight, with Williams (9-1, 4 KOs) suggesting a fear of being tested for performance-enhancing drugs was behind the former Cronulla captain's failure to appear.
