A drug dealer was told "f*** these lot" after he was finally caught following 10 years on the run.
Police investigations into Mark Deary's illicit activities were first sparked after a hail of bullets was fired at his home. The cocaine trafficker later admitted his crimes, but fled before his sentencing in 2012 and was only eventually apprehended in September last year.
Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday afternoon that the 43-year-old admitted offences of possession of cocaine with intent to supply on December 12 2011 on the day he was due to stand trial, but failed to appear to be sentenced on January 12 2012 having been released on bail. Henry Riding, prosecuting, described how Deary - of Allerford Road in West Derby - was sentenced to seven years in prison in his absence in March that year.
