A brand new Temple Bar restaurant is bringing the Naples street food tradition of folded pizza to Dublin as Southpaw opens on Crown Alley in Temple Bar.
Pizza a Portafoglio, which means 'folded like a wallet', is a tradition rarely seen outside of Naples, but is now available to experience in Dublin.
Southpaw is the sister restaurant to the beloved Coke Lane Pizza which is located in Dublin 8.

Owner and pizza savant Dave Holmes decided to change things up for his first stand-alone bricks and mortar venture. The slick space welcomes customers for food that is said to be bursting with exciting flavours.
The dough for the Pizza a Portafoglio is prepared in a half-tonne mixer (visible in its own temperature-controlled glass-walled room) before undergoing a two-day fermentation.
Southpaw's focus is on flavours and premium ingredients, with Dave putting his own touch on this beloved Naples foodie tradition.
The restaurant's menu consists of a diverse array of flavours to suit many tastes. The Pecorino, the simplest entry on the menu, is comprised of crushed tomatoes folded and finished with pecorino romano, extra virgin olive oil and Achill Island sea salt.
Other more adventurous items on the menu include the Nduja, which is a margherita folded and finished with nduja tomatoes, house pickled jalapenos and grana padano.
Additionally, there is a lovely treat in store for those of us with a sweet tooth as Southpaw also serves up a range of delectable cannolis filled with things like Nutella, pistachio and Belgian chocolate chips.
This place also serves up a range of Italian organic sodas.
Southpaw is open at Temple Bar's Crown Alley from Wednesday to Sunday between 12pm to 10pm.
