Drivers stopped in West Bridgford and Edwalton with some caught speeding in police operation

Police teams running speeding operations in West Bridgford and Edwalton have stopped a number of drivers, with some caught speeding.

The operations are concentrating on Alford Road and Trevor Road, as well as Ambleside and Beckside, all in West Bridgford, and Wellin Lane in Edwalton.

Two people have been reported for speeding offences in two days of the operation running.

It's being run by Nottinghamshire Police's Operation Reacher and West Bridgford Neighbourhood team.

Operation Reacher is the force's blend of proactive evidence-led police work and engaging with the community through events and programmes to disrupt crime.

The force urges you to stay safe and drive carefully.
