Two motorists and a bystander have been injured in northern Germany after a runaway donkey leaped inside a van and launched a kicking and biting attack, according to local police.
Passersby had spotted the animal, named Freddy, alongside a horse roaming freely near a roundabout in the town of Holssel, south of the coastal city of Cuxhaven. When the drivers attempted to hold the donkey on Friday, the animal "became very aggressive" and forced its way into their vehicle.
