Motorists in Scotland will be able to save £5 on fuel when they top up at any petrol station throughout the country.
A new cashback scheme has been launched this week, following the news that wholesale prices have fallen by 20p in July. With households struggling to pay their bills amid the worsening cost of living crisis, people are looking for any way possible to save money.
As stated on the RAC's fuel watch, the average price of petrol is 176.88p per litre at the moment. Meanwhile, diesel currently costs 187.42p for a litre.

As reported by The Mirror, motorists are now able to get £5 extra off when they spend over £10 topping up their vehicle. The scheme is run by TopCashback and is available at every petrol station across the country until August 17.
The offer began on August 8, while supermarkets have been lowering their fuel prices in an effort to lure drivers.

How to claim the £5 petrol deal
In order to use the deal, you first need to ensure you have TopCashback account, which can be made for free here. After this, you will have to:
Spend at least £10 on unleaded petrol, super unleaded petrol, or diesel at any petrol station across the UK.
Hold onto your receipt when you purchase the fuel.
Take a photograph of your receipt that includes a visiable date, fuel station name and fuel payment.
