Drivers could face fines of £2,500 after change in law on towing caravans

Drivers are being warned to be aware of a change in the law regarding towing caravans which could hit them hard in the pocket.

Motorists can be fined £2,500 after the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) updated regulations.

It is no longer necessary to sit an extra test before towing a caravan, but drivers face a hefty fine if they break any of the rules.
